PCAARRD has new web address

The Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development or PCAARRD recently announced its new web address www.pcaarrd.gov.ph

The change is brought about by the recent consolidation of the PCAARRD, Forestry and Natural Resources Research and Development and the Philippine Council for Aquatic and Marine Research and Development (PCAMRD).

PCAARRD is one of the Department of Science and Technology’s planning councils for research and development (R&D).

It is mandated to do the following

  • formulate policies, plans, projects and strategies for science and technology development in agriculture, forestry, aquatic and natural resources sectors;
  • monitor research and development projects
  • generate external funds for its R&D activities

The council is engaged in active partnerships with international, regional and national organizations and funding institutions for joint R&D, human resource development and training, technical assistance and exchange of scientists, information and technologies.

PCAARRD, with headquarters at Los Baños, Laguna, can also be contacted at (049) 536-0016; 536-1956; 536-2383; 536-6980; and 536-7927. Its fax numbers are 536-0016 and 536-7922.
