The Philippines-Australia Business Council (PABC) will head a high-level business delegation that will join President Aquino on his state visit to Australia on Oct. 24-26.
More than 150 representatives from the private sector, including members of the Chamber of Mines of the Philippines, Management Association of the Philippines, Makati Business Club, Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Australia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines, Business Processing Association of the Philippines and Federation of Filipino-Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry Inc., have expressed interest in joining the delegation, according to PABC chair Albert M.G. The PABC and its counterpart, the Australia Philippines Business Council, will hold a forum on Oct. 25 at the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney on the theme “Strengthening Philippines–Australia Business Relations.”
President Aquino has been invited to address the forum, which will conduct five business matching sessions focused on public-private partnerships, education, business process outsourcing (BPO), skilled manpower and mining.
The PABC is recognized by the Philippine and Australian governments as the official private sector representative in bilateral relations. It advocates the promotion, advancement and protection of Philippine interests in business dealings with Australia.
