UP Mountaineers Celebrates 35th year; opens door for applicants

The UP Mountaineers will hold its "Applicants' Orientation" on July 6, 2012, 6 p.m. at the UP Bahay ng Alumni, Diliman, Q.C. and on July 7, 2012, 7 p.m. R.O.X, Bonifacio High Street, Taguig.

Founded in 1977, the UP Mountaineers is a leading mountaineering club in the Philippines whose emphasis on responsible outdoor recreation and environmental conservation has been notable throughout the years. Prominent members include Romi Garduce, the first and only Filipino so far to have reached the Seven Summits; Everest climbers Noelle Wenceslao and Janet Belarmino; and botanist Leonard Co.
