kick Erap out of office as well kick out of the country all
his cronies who are chinese gambler/druglords posing as
filipino businessman.

No to graft and corruption, no jeuteng, yes to
resignation of the President. And yes to reform of the
political system in our government. If Erap would resign it
would be "nakakahiya". So he would not resign to save his
face, if there is any. so what would be the best step to
let him? As a concerned citizen what we must do in order to
let Erap resign? thank for this work letting the vioce of
the masses be heard through this website.

The President will and can only prove that he has been a
real President in the true sense of the word, if he will
not be stubborn enough to step down. By stepping down, he
will only show to his constituents that he is really
concerned about the country's welfare. Now that the
economic is diving on a full range, it is about time that
he needs to discern. Resigning does not mean that he is a
loser, resigning means that he will not let the Philippine
economy plunge into a deeper instability.

i dont know why miriam santiag is not very active
in supporting people to oust estrada. and she
is very much pro estrada no and not even
supporting macapagal's. why? is she now
one of those hiding about the jueteng payoffs.
i was really disappointed with her views and
i was even expecting she could be one of
those to let estrada resign. is she now afraid
because of the scandal that might open again
about her husbands link on the jueteng payoffs nd
i feel so sorry for her, i was one of her

its good that she never won the election before.

>From an OFW:
I admired Erap long before, but this scandal I think has
lost his credibility and integrity. I would request him to
resign for the sake of the nation, although I have some
doubts the person to succeed him can bring our economy back
on track.
The constitutional proceedings of empeachment might be too
late to save the country's economy.
**@earthlink.net (Paul)
I fully agree with GMA that the only solution to our
economic problem is for Erap to resign.
I don't care about the scandal he is involved with on
Jueteng payola -- it has been an established fact that it
is a SOP for every government officials to gain something
from it (except perhaps Pre. Cory). But the fact that Erap
did not even lift a hand to solve the worsening economic
problem is already enough reason for him to resign since he
seems not to know what to do. He is just blaming the past
administrations for the problem, but he does not do
anything but play majong and drink.

Good day.
I am an engineer and I am now here in Japan working with my
employer since May 2000. I going back to Philippines this
November. I am very sorry about happening in the
Philippines. We always seen it here in Japan in daily
newscast. I can't believe what is happening right now in
the philippines. When I left the country, the dollar is
only P35, now its already P51. Although, I am earning
dollar, but I am afraid this will cause so much damage in
our economy. Some of my friends in the Philippines are now
applying for abroad because they were forced to work abroad
because of the situation in our country.
My suggestion to Erap and to all our political leaders
is... after this political war, we should work together to
make our country grow economically. It is sad to here the
bad impressions about our president here in Japan. One my
Japanese friends sometimes asked me, when are you going to
put Erap in Jail before it is too late. I told them, we
will ask the Americans to pull him out of the country.
Sometimes, I think, it is better for us to be ruled by
other countries than to be ruled by our fellow Filipinos
who always think of themselves not for the benefit of the
people. If I have a chance not to go back to the
Philippines, I will not go back. But I need to go back
because I miss the Philippines and my family. But I hate
our government.
I am jealous to Japan, because almost I think 95% of the
people are from the middle class above. I seldom see poor
people walking on streets, begging for money. Everybody is
happy in Japan. Lots of Filipinos I met here, they told me
they don't want to go back to Philippines until our
government is okey. But still, the same old political
people. Where can we have a chance to vote a candidate who
is an engineer, who will always think of technology and
economic solutions to our country.
Erap, help our country. Resign now.
Don't put the country at risk.
**@paradise.net.nz (Evelyn)
I wish I can say to the Filipinos who voted for Erap "you
deserve it" but then I cannot. We have made so many

I have been out of the Philippines for six years now and I
haven't recieved any degrading insult than the one I had
yesterday. I was sending some money to my family and the
teller just laughed upon seeing the the peso equivalent of
the dollar I'm sending. "Is that what its worth in the
Philippines?"She told me between her laugh and said sorry
afterwards followed by the question "Is your president
really an actor?" I had enough of this... it's about time
that stupid, compulsive cheater, self serving motherfucker
get out of the presidency and give Philippines the chance
to regain its lost glory.

Hello, I'm just concerned about the future of our
country. I believe that Erap must step down but who will
replace him Arroyo? Are you sure she is what she is? I
have reports her husband (Mr. Arroyo) is also one of the
jueteng lord. I suggest why not investigate all the people
involved in the jueteng scandal. I believe there are so
many rich and powerful people involved in this jueteng
gambling. I
want Erap to step down but I don't like to see Arroyo to get
on that seat without scrutinizing her. It's our fault din
as a country who voted for Erap to be our president. Don't
forget he won the election with a big margin. So I think we
should be more careful in choosing our future
leaders.........we should put our focus on Pres. Estrada to
step down and more focus on the next president to take
over. We should check all about Gloria Arroyo first. Many
chinese people knows that her husband is a jueteng lord.
Just ask around and you will know what's the truth!

hello, good day! regarding Erap. Impeachment is not the
answer, i'll ask you. After impeachment what's next. but
for me we can try GMA but i don't know who's better, Erap
or Gloria. It seems that Erap dosen't want to stepn down.
in the first place, his victotry is a land slide, and some
of the people who's accusing Erap is also like him (Erap).
Politics are like that politicians are trying to save their
own butts, they are confusing the people. Make a randon
sampling I don't know if the reasons of Impeaching Erap is
strong, and that may be also a factor of the victory of
Erap, people doesn't think twice on what they are choosing.
I think the 1998 election Filipinos are a victim of lack of

i believe a person is innocent until proven guilty. there
is no evidence yet to connect the president to this assume
jueteng money. as far as right now it is an alleged not the
fact. so people should wait and see what happens, truth will
always come-out. look at president clinton, he thought he
could get away with it,he was half right he is still in the

should take the money and all his mansions and help the

Whether President Estrada is guilty or not, his overall
capacity as President and ability to lead is hampered by
the current situation. With this in mind and as he claims
that let the process take its due course, well let it be,
but he shouldn't lead the country due to the fact that his
leadership capabilties are not at a humdred percent. I
believe that the President should take a leave of absence
and let the process takes its due course. If he really puts
his fate in the constitution as he adamantly claims then he
shouldn't have any fear of any injustice.

The Vice-president does not have to agree with the
President's propositions. But she should atleast attend the
meeting and give the President the opportunity to say his
piece. This I beleive is the mature and unselfish act to
do.
What i am about to say may be politically incorect and
harsh, but I believe that in times like these, it is
senseless to beat around the bush. We should get straight
to the point and admit the truth, no matter how ugly the
scenario may be.
As to all those poor people who are still supporting the
President for you still believe that he is innocent. Get
a brain. I am aware of the fact that it is not entirely
your fault that you are illiterate and dumb. It is
definitely partly the fault of the givernment or not
educating the poor. But you have got to be pretty dumb to
still believe that the President still cares about the poor.
Lastly, to the rich and powerful who ar still supporting
the President. I do not beleive that the case is the same
as with the poor. I am certain that you are not as dumb and
I respect your own reasons for supporting the President. For
those who are supporting him for monetary or political
reasons, i hope you what you are doing to the country.
Instead of getting a brain, get a conscience.

Manila have a big prayer rally early
afternoon (1pm-4pm)marching from 4 points and converging at

simultaneously with the impeachment
process, the former persuading and pressuring the
all-too-selfish (following their vested interests and not

Erap GMA Frontpage interview transcript
MEL: So hihintayin ninyo na kayo ay ipatawag at magsumite
ng inyong ebidensya. Ano ang masasabi ninyo sa lahat ng
sinasabi ni Gov. Singson?
ESTRADA: Yan ang kanyang sinasabi at pawang walang
katotohanan yan. Alam naman natin na inamin niya sapagkat
hindi siya napagbigyan. Gusto niyang ipagpatuloy ang
kanyang illegal gambling.
Lalong
lalo na 7171 farm at tobacco farm. Eh di nga niya
ma-account. Di nga niya ma-account yung over P2 billion way
back 1997. nung nakaraang mayo, na-audit na siay eh hindi
nga na-account kaya sunod-sunod yan. Pagkatapos ibig niyang
jueteng lord nangungurakot etc. Ang kanyang "kaibigan"! Eh
baket nya pinapabayaan ito? Pareho kayong guilty!
Pero mas gago ang presidente! Sige Erap hayaan mo lahat ng
kaibigan mo na pagsamantalahan ang bayan!! Pero hindi mo
kami mapipigil na ibaba ka sa trono! Mag resign ka na!!!

It has become very evident that Mr. Estrada, together with
his two pathetic side-kicks (Zamora & Puno), are getting
desperate in trying to hold on to their respective
positions. It's a pity that Mr. Estrada, as stupid as he
is, is surrounded by two even more stupid morons whose
ideas on how to put out the fire that are burning their
asses are so idiotic! It's just like watching Looney Tunes
on TV where the stupid bad guy characters (i.e. Wyle Coyote)
are after the good guys (Road Runner)but always ends up
falling off a cliff or worse - exploding! Their attempt to
hold on to power by proposing an "open communication" with
the opposition is just plain futile. That "their" beloved
president will change his lifestyle, work habits, etc.
Cosmetics! That's all there is to it. The people are sick
of this crap already! What made me write this feedback is
a statement by Mr. Dong Puno in todays article on Gloria's
Plan to Snub NSC mtg. I quote "we have all agreed that the
big problem is the economy." Duhh!! Mr. Puno, when will
you ever realize that the biggest problem is your boss!!
The problem with our economy was caused by non other than
"your excellency"!! I guess youll never realize this -
cause youre just like Wyle Coyote...a moron!! Youre a
terrible disappointment to your country!
**@yahoo.com (J.Antonio)
sorry for the previous post! i got really carried away by
dong's statements! he is so irritating!
Anyway, here's the real deal!
What is happening to us now? A scandal breaks out, the
economy nose dives, oil prices sky rocket! So what's new?
NADA! Absolutely nothing! Contrary to my earlier feed back
in response to Dong's statement - i believe that the real
problem here is the Filipino people in general! First, it
was the people themselves who gave Mr. Estrada the
mandate! Obviously, it was not a very good choice. Right
from the very beginning, the middle class, upper class,
business & catholic communities were against this but we
were just outnumbered. I am not blaming our less fortunate
countrymen who voted for Erap! What with promises of land
and honey! In their situation - both then and
unfortunately up to now - they would go for any promise of
a more decent lifestyle. They dont know any better.
No matter who sits as president of our beloved country - i
dont think it would really make much difference. (But Mr.
Estrada should really have the heart and decency to step
down now - for his love of God and country!) For history
to keep repeating itself, there must be a more deep rooted
reason - or reasons! In my opinion it's us! The Filipino
people!
One: discipline! or the blatant lack of it. This is one
disease that is eating us all up and it's being passed on
from one generation to the next.
I was never a Marcos loyalist since i was a front liner and
survivor of the Edsa Revolution! But now, i realize the
true meaning and importance of the infamous KBL slogan of
old -
"sa ika uunlad ng bayan...disiplina ang kailangan!!"
Marcos, the brilliant man that he was, was right!
I am not pointing an acusing finger at anyone as i myself
am guilty of this in some occasions! Like on a late
evening, when an intersection is clear - i would ignore the
traffic signal! Simple! Lack of discipline! People
throwing trash everywhere! Poor people standing in the
streets all day doing nothing - instead of doing something
productive. People constantly ignoring laws or trying to
go around it, under it (bribes), or sometimes above
it(abusive govt officials)!
Two: Lack of patriotism! Love your own! Nope, not the
westernized Filipino! Anything - even made in Taiwan -
other than made in the Philippines! local? ah pangit, ah
madaling masira, ay bakya! Filipinos dont want to be
identified with anything Filipino! Another disease!
Again, i am as guilty of this like most of us are.
One thing good though! More Filipino's have evolved from
the "Filipinong walang pakialam" to the vigilant and more
socially & politically aware Filipinos. But this is not
enough.
What do we do? Your guess is as good as mine!
Before we see real changes...maybe we have to look inside
ourselves!!
**@yahoo.com (Francisco)
We gave President Estrada two years to prove his worth.
While I didn't vote for him, I thought at the onset that
perhaps his simple, unadorned way of viewing issues and his
singlemindedness would be an effective asset of his rule.
However, it turns out now that he is simply unable to
comprehend the magnitude of what it really means to lead a
nation. Nothing short of resignation will cure the ills of
his administration. President Ramos is right -- Erap should
first reform himself before he even seeks to reform
others. While he's doing that, he should step down and let
more competent leaders take the reins of government.
Such a pity. He showed so much promise at the start,
especially for the poor. Sayang!

kabigat yon naging trabaho niya... P80,000.00 ba yon isang
abogado... o client-lawyer relationship ba yon...

all the loans of the poor and those who have lost their

Let us not forget that the President is an actor. It was a
very good take. His message contains nothing new, deviating
from the real issue. The issue is not about reconciliation,
the issue is Him.His person and administration is laden
with scandals and intrigues. The Estrada administration is
very very much interested in guarding the TRUTH, that they
are surrounding IT with bodyguards of lies (and liars).
**@yahoo.com (Jago)
Erap wass an actor and up to now he is, acting like a
President. He manipulated and helped the poor and called it
Lottery.
**@i-next.net (ronald)
i was an employee of philippine airlines and was retrenched
during estradas term. pres. estrada said that pal was
overstaffed. that gave pal the courage to retrench
employees left and right. i am now jobless like most
employees that were retenched. you did not even protect we
employees of pal. how can you expect us to support you now.
so

Usec. Orestes Ricaforte should spare his wife from further
endangering her health and life by advising her to simply
tell the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth!
She is such a pitiful sight in the on-going Senate
investigation trying to sort out what truth to tell and
what lies to say to cover up the whole Jueteng mess.
If Usec. Ricaforte truly loves her more than he loves the
President, then, he should really spare her from more
traumatic moments in the Senate. He seems to be using his
wife to hold on to his position. What a selfish husband!
Mrs. Ricaforte must free herself from the undue
strain/pressure/embarassment in the Senate hearing. She
looks so stupid feigning ignorance even at the most simple
things she ought to know as a VP and a Director. Just spill
the beans! Truth will set her free!

Erap Resign As President!!!
**@yahoo.com (Brice)
No matter how seemingly saddened Estrada appears to be, I
do not believe him anymore. I lost respect and trust to the
person who claims to be but does exactly the opposite. The
lives of 75 million Filipinos is not a stage where Estrada
can act out his diabolical schemes.
**@pldt.com.ph (renato)
I'm really trying to understand Erap's call for unity and
ereconciliation, but I already lost my confidence on him.
Anything he will say now even if it is true, the people
will no longer listen. Nawala na ang tiwala ng tao sa
kanya. People are no longer afraid of Military or police,
we have already proven this during the EDSA revolution. So
yan noong 1986. These Generals will not coward the Filipino
people anymore, basta't alam natin na tama ang ipinaglalaban
natin wala puedeng tumakot sa atin. The best thing for Erap
to do is to step down for the sake of his countrymen.

estrada now is calling for national reconcilliation to the
oppossition leaders but they rejected the offer especially
gloria arroyo because she know a type like her personalty
is not capable to handle a position what estrada offered eh
iyong kang dswd tinakbuhan iyon pa kayang NEDA at saka
snap election is the good solution for this political &
**@ (crispin)
wether Erap is guilty or not, he must resign immediately.
he already lost the trust of the people because of his
cultural bankruptcy which leads him to commit grievious
errors of judgements and commisions of greed and lies. it
is a very shameful and regretable choice the filipino
people have put in office for a president of this
country.
**@yahoo.com (wellie)
yeah, it he's the problem take him out!
but hope it's not the same dog with a different collar.
nothing ever comes out in the investigations of scams,
scandals, anomalies, etc. the moment one sits at the
position, it would just be them & their friends enjoying
the fruits of todays labor. will we ever see the
prosecution of Singson, bw-tan, a.ang etc and not let due
process take its legal course coz it just might gather some
legal dust!
**@altavista.com (Winda)
One has to be lower than Grade One Page Two to still
believe -in the face of the unfolding revelations and
subsequent exposes by journalists- that the Estradas are
pure as the proverbial snow. Is the man so drunk with power
that he is unwilling, or unable, to look beyond his 'throne'
to see the devastation his immorality has caused the country
he professes to serve?
**@yahoo.com (herber)
My suggestion below is the following:
1.)one way to recover our country from the most political
and economic crisis disaster in the century aside from
marcos regime is Mr. Estrada should step down, and if He is
found guilty, He should faces a firing squad or lethal
injection since his crime is more heinous than rape and
murder.
2.) The congress, senate, comelec should implement and
pass law regarding the candidacy that movie industry
people cannot be accepted in politics due to their
popularity.
3.) The candidate should pass a higher IQ, scholastic
records , should pass entrance examination, no bad
background from the family.
**@mailcity.com (tinetsky)
He should recognize that it's time for him to step down. He
knows that the same people who voted for him now despise
him. The filipinos are not so blind to what's going on.
**@skyinet.net (james)
the time has come for Erap to go. he must
go. i for one does not believe him
anymore. if he loves the country and
the poor, he should heed the popular
demand that he should quit. now. not
later, but now before it's too late for
our economy. if he won't resign, i would
suggest drastic action should be taken,
including popular uprising similar to
yugoslavia.
**@yahoo.com (Lanuevo)
Since we have a democratic form of goverment we all should
observe due process. If the the President indeed have
accepted brides from the gambling industries then
impeachment should proceed. If he is impeach then he have no
alternative but to remove himself from the office of the
presidency.Until then the opposition should stop demanding
for his resignation. They seems too eager to take full
advantage of the situation to advance their own personal
political agenda.
**@Yahoo.com (albert)
you've not done anything right since you assumed
office!!!!!....why should we think you'll do something
right now...mag-resign ka na!!..parang awa mo na!!!!!
**@hotmail.com (Nelson )
Absolutely no, because the question now is not how good or
bad the president is, but how credible the president is.
**@altavista.com (Winda)
The second string really does get buried in the fracas,
doesn't it?
What are the lawmakers doing to the likes of "Atong" Ang,
in view of the their roles in this scandal?
What has the BIR done through all these years when men of
their ilk flaunt their unexplained wealth? How much has it
cost to keep the auditors at bay? Why shouldn't they (BIR)
be investigated themselves? I realize the BIR big fish live
plush lives that are much too impossible to reach on the
basis of their official salaries. Why are the police not
investigating them as well? Or if they are, what are the
results?
That is one good thing to keep in mind: watch the people
whose jobs are to catch the crooks. I am certain that many
of the politicians are caught between that trusted
rock-and-a-hard-place. If they push too far, someone might
examine the skeletons in their closets.
If we are to have a clean sweep, the law must not make any
distinctions based on social standing. Relatives who
knowingly received tainted money are as liable as the 'big
shots'. Surely if you know how much your husband, father,
brother, or bread-winner makes in his various jobs, how can
you, in good conscience, take millions in one shot and
remain oblivious to the sum's questionable source?. Not
even if you're just 'Grade One Page Three.' Don't you agree?
So let's all watch very carefully as the scene unfolds. And
let's remember all the players' names. Those who seek to
hide the uncovered wrongdoings to protect the golden goose,
or those who are afraid to act because someone has something
on them that could also bring them down.
The world is watching!
