CONTRIBUTE to the growth of Global
Nation.
Thank you very much for
your interest. As a user-driven site, Global Nation invites
you to take part in building this growing online community.
We would more than welcome your contributions in the form of
articles, essays, captioned photos, community news, event schedules
and feature stories. Please check the appropriate sections for
details on different types of submissions -- for instance, photos
can be contributed to our Snapshots section.
Before sending your contributions, please keep the following
guidelines in mind:
 Global
Nation addresses the needs of the global Filipino community.
Contributions should deal with the experiences of Filipinos
in the Philippines and other countries or the activities of
Philippine organizations throughout the world. You can write
about Filipino customs, native dishes, or news about the Filipino
community in other countries. Non-Filipinos are also welcome
to send in their contributions if the material is relevant to
the Filipino community.
Please
only send original material in English. While we would love
to publish material written in Filipino and different Philippine
dialects, we hope you'll understand that we still cater to a
global audience, and even non-Filipinos would be interested
in finding out more about the Philippines and its people.
Articles
should not exceed 4, 500 characters in length. You can incorporate
the text in your e-mail but for formatting, we would prefer
that you attach the article in Rich Text Format. Please also
include a brief "About the author" blurb, three to
four sentences telling us something about yourself. You could
also include a contact e-mail address at the end of your article
if you wish to receive feedback from other readers.
Photos
should be e-mailed as JPEG files, in color and at a resolution
of at least 100 dpi. Please include brief photo captions.
Much
as we would love to, Global Nation unfortunately does not offer
contributor's fees. Our contributors are writing as a labor
of love, but writing for Global Nation offers you a chance to
be published online and reach out to a global audience. Contributing
to Global Nation also gives you the chance to do your share
in helping others know more about Philippine culture and linking
more Filipinos to a global community.
