Asian American Music Conference
November 15, 2003
Crowne Plaza
Burlingame, California
PEOPLE from as close as Los Angeles to as far away as Texas
and New York will be attending the Asian American Music Conference
(AAMC) on November 15 at the Crowne Plaza, Burlingame, California,
to find answers to questions that all Asian-American singers
and musical groups ask themselves.
"Is America ready to see and hear an Asian-American
face in the mainstream music scene?" "What is the
formula to making a successful selling album?" "What
nuance of my Asian culture can I put in my music to make me
stand out?" "Is the way to win the music scene to
create a new genre of music like the Latin community?"
Attendees are expected to interact, debate, and discuss these
types of questions with panelists whose expertise ranges from
marketing, promotions, producers, lawyers, management, and
music business owners. AAMC is calling for all the hip-hop,
R&B, jazz, rock, alternative, and pop artists from all
over the nation to stir up the noise.
Attendees of the conference can also participate in workshops
like the Producers Workshop, which features producers such
as E-40's and the Click's D-Shot. Other scheduled panelists
include Brian Samson (Honey's Luv marketing manager), Reno
Ursal (Rhythm Drive Records), Freska (KYLD), Rick Lee (KMEL),
Leroid David (Tower Records), Jaime Gopez (Geffen) , DJ Yoshi
(Original 5 Star), Marlino (Z90), and Franco Finn (Radio Disney).
