THE PILIPINO American art and design group, PilDesign, has
an ongoing exhibit at the Filipino American Center, third
floor, San Francisco Main Library, 100 Larkin Street, San
Francisco, California.
The exhibit showcases a collection of works from graphic
design, photography and new media, continuing PilDesign's
mission of exploring and identifying Pilipino American Design.
The highlight of the show is a collaborative project on the
theme of "Independence" -- its meanings, perceptions
and symbolisms.
As part of the exhibit, the group held an artists' reception
on July 25 at the Latino-Hispanic Community Room A, Lower
Level, San Francisco Main Library.
The artists in this year's exhibit are Bren Bataclan, Melton
Castro, Alan Fernando, Gloria G. Galang, John Lomibao, Karyn
Panganiban, Al Perez, Alberic Rivera and Raymond Virata.
This project is presented by the Filipino American Center
of the San Francisco Public Library.
