THE 2ND Annual Asian American Music Conference will be held
on November 13. This year's music
conference presents workshops and panels relating to topics
such as artist management, radio, publicity, media, production,
recording, songwriting, publishing, music business 101, retail,
distribution and more.
Confirmed guest speakers include: Edwin Banacia (Columbia
Records), Albert Lao (Sony Music), Nancy Bernal (Al Waterson

(Su Management, Consulting, and Public Relations), Roslynn
Cobarrubias (ThirdFloor Radio), Janette Baxa (House of Blues),
Marian Liu (San Jose Mercury News), Faith Rivera (Emmy Award-winning
songwriter), Jaime Gopez (Universal Music), Gwen Shen (Universal
Music), Ray Wong (Clear Channel Wild 94.9), Tony Ng (Clear
Channel KMEL/KIOI), Alex Retodo (Loudmouth Media), LeRoid

Brandon Murio (Brand1Design). Workshops will also be presented
by: NewViews Music and Notre Dame de Namur University's Vocal
Performance Department.
Selected artists to perform at this year's music conference
are: Honore (male R&B soloist from Los Angeles, CA), Teri
Untalan (female singer/songwriter from San Francisco, CA),
Sophia Moon (female pop/R&B vocalist from Boston, MA),
Yen (male R&B/soul vocalist from Atlanta, GA), Karmacy
(alternative band from Los Angeles, CA), Sonic Orange (alternative
band from San Jose, CA), and Mango Kingz (Hawaiian band from
Vallejo, CA). Next year's conference hopes to expand the music
showcase to meet the growing demand of Asian American artists
nationally.
