This is in regard of the Mansions allegedly owned
by Erap.
I just wander, if the mansions are not owned by Erap, why
is it
that nobody show up to claim its/their/his ownership
of the said mansions.
Isnt it very disappointing if somebody identifies your own
property to
somebody else.
If I am the owner of that mansion, and possess
legal
documents to prove my ownership, I would at once call the
media and
clear things up.
Perhaps, Erap really owns the mansions. If he does,
how
can he manage to sleep at night, knowing that the amount he
used was
of the peoples, and that a lot of those people are
suffering from
poverty.
Thus, I would only be convinced that those mansions are not
his,
if somebody claims ownership.. . . Ah! what a
coincidence, the different
owners of those different
mansions are all missing! Maybe they are dead, or
in other
country? who knows, We Filipinos are not fools, are we?

I saw the picture of Pres. Estrada hanging in front
of the
Philippine Embassy in NYC.. I felt sorry for him because
his mind
was corrupted by dirty politics...I don't think he
will ever listen... would
you think anyone would give up the
money, power and pleasure??? I'm sorry to
say this, but he
is a disgrace to our political system... after working

There is no way Pres. Erap
can get out of his
predicament at the senate relative to the impeachment
trial
against him. His general denials of the charges will not
hold water.
The cases against him are heavy and strong and
the evidence supporting them
are air tight. So far nothing
has been weaken by cross examinations;
witnesses stand
credible and their testimonies remained
undisturbed. Erap
must be prosecuted criminally after his term to
prove to the
world that Filipinos know how to punish their leaders
who
severely violated Philippine laws. And all accessories in
the
commission of the crimes should also be brought to
trial and thrown to jail.
Erap did not commit his crimes
alone.
**@hotmail.com (Juliana)
Estrada should face the impeachment tribunal to
end all
these. Anyway, he has been claiming that he is innocent
of
all the accusations made to him. If he is really innocent,
why
does he not face his critics? Kawawa naman 'yong mga
naiipit na
witnesses.
**@dti.cvis.net.ph (TERESITA )
Almost all senator-jurors are very partisan
that they don't
have the respect of the Filipino people. Even though
they
have sworn to be impartial having been appointed as jurors,
their
actuations speak of their personal biasis in the
four-day hearing on the
impeachment case.
**@yahoo.com (Dencio)
Impeachment trial sucks!!!!!!!!!Just a way to
delaying the
inevitable..... Erap will surely be
acquited....unless
we do something drastic.........
**@Eudoramail.com (Renel)
It only show to the international community that
we yet but
not fully matured country in terms of dealing with problems
regarding our leaders...
The senate or the jury I say is more
concerned on how the
trial goes, does it follow step by step point to point
that
even a simple quiry is always ask. It seems that the
lawmekers
themselves does not understand the law they
made. On the other half
maybe after these people will now
who the real senators are are who are just
for position.

Dear To All,
I think
with the prosecution side, they are not doing
all they can to help the
Filipino people. But I know things
will turned out the way they should be and
that is for the
conviction as God so loved the Philippines that amidst
all
the money and power which President Estrada has, still all
the world
has witnessed the disgrace he marked not only to
his name but to his lack of
leadership. And i do believe
too that GOD has shown us that evil ways will
never
flourished. What is happening to him (Mr. Estrada) is the
payment
for the things he did to his wife, children and to
the Filipino people. He
has used God's name but not heeding
God's call. Just like the Marcose's, they have painted their
names in
black and I do believe that when eternal life is
served so as judgement day
will be pass.
**@srf.navy.mil (Val)
I predict that Estrada will be aquitted because he
will be
able to buy the votes of the following senators: Enrile,
Defensor,
Tatad, Aquino-oreta, John Osmena, Cosesting,
Sotto, Honasan, Ople And
Revilla. This are the people that
will acquit Estrada.. because they already
have said he is
not guilty even before the hearing has started
**@yahoo.com (Albert)
What happen next after the impeachment trial
regardless of
Acquitted or not? Do you think some of our country
men(anti
or Pro erap) will stop their demostrations(rally)? Do you
think
peace and harmony will be with us after the trial?
I think the best solutions of this problem is that the
president should
RESIGN regardless of the allegation is
true or not, He has no longer capable
of holding the
country. Investors don't have enough courage to
invest
here due to the crisis right now. Look at our government
now
it is like circus at fiesta carnaval.
So please Erap resign now!!!
**@yahoo.com (reynato)
Whatever will be the result of the impeachment, it

But for me (I will comment only based on
the reports from

Joseph
Estrada commited all those wrong doings which was mentioned
in the
newspapaer and the telivision.
So, may I suggest to him 1)to repent 2)to ask GOD for His
forgiveness
3)RESIGN 4)after he resigned, help anybody who
will replace him (as
President) - this is one way in
another how to cope his wrong doings.
God bless the philippines.
Bear in mind, god is merciful to all of us who are sinners

asking god for his forgiveness.
**@dmp.net.sa (Eugenio )
As I see the impeachment trial, I believe Erap will be
acquited simply
because his lawyers are far more better
than the prosecution. The
prosecution doesn't show any
strong points of being good lawyers. The
only good thing
though is that their witnesses are good. Just what have
shown by Ms.
Emma Lim. Even the good lawyer Estelito
Mendoza was no match for
her. Well mainly the lady is
simply telling the truth.
I just hope that in the coming days of the trial, the
prosecution will
show a good fight and not show good faces
only.

removing our current president and replacing him with a
new
one doesn't guarantee a better life for Filipinos bec. we
had several
past presidents lately and still Filipino life
and economy is going
downhill.I think it's time for
Filipinos to reflect first and foremost about
what really
is our purpose in this country, are we just relying our
future
from whoever is our president? I think the real
solution is thinking about
what we can do to improve our
life and our country. We need to be morally,
spiritually and
socially responsible by not selling our votes, follow
what
is right and most of all respect ourselves. Change should
start from
ourselves.Look at some other countries, why are
they rich and succesful? it's
bec. they respect themselves,
they have pride and are morally and socially
responsible.

I agree that the prosecutors led by Rep. Joker Arroyo
are
no match to the defense panel of President Estrada. This,
however,
doesn;t mean I believe that the president will win
this case. On the
contrary, I think he will be indicted,
because no matter how good his
litigation lawyers like
Mendoza are, they can never intimidate witnesses who
are
telling the turth. This is the case with Emma Lim, who --
based on her
mannerisms and demeanor -- can't be mistaken
as honestly telling the truth.
Erap should not only begin
to count his last few days in office... but he
should also
prepare for the day when he will face the prospects of
being
jailed for the sins he commited while asuming the
mantle of the presidency.
Indeed, time has come...

I've been following this crisis since
it broke
out. In my view, if these
senators will just act and decide
according to
fairness and consience,
no doubt they will hand a guilty verdict
not just
to one but to all four counts
Mr Estraa is facing. But i'm afraid,
when
all the smoke is gone, we still
have a lame duck, incompetent, lord of
all
vices, president still sitting.
That's the time to ask ourselves,
when
shall we have REAl POLITIIANS,
instead of these selfish, show

ambitious, robots sitting in both the
lower and senate
houses.
When situation gets worst, MILITARY
intervention is stillthe best
solution.

I think we're going no where. Almost every
body involve in
running the government has ulterior motives. They are
just
a bunch of hypocrites. I think this country needs to be
educated
fully about the effects of not being serious in
casting votes. If it is
possible, it should be included in
the curriculum in elementary.
This
country need not only to reform the system in the
government but also
reformation on the part of the citizens.
What we are experiencing right now
is just an aftermath of
our attitudes.

The whole jueteng thing is a big circus where clowns
do
what they have to do to get a few laughs.
The truth is this isn't a laughing matter, but Filipinos
always put comedy
into almost anything they do--which is
good at some point, but if the country
is at stake, I don't
think there's any room for jokes.
One more thing, the Xerox company probably is very happy
from getting free
commercials of their product. Do you
notice that highly educated lawyers use
the term "Xerox
copies" every time they refer to a photocopy. Why do
they
need to put the brand's name? I guess it's the Filipino way
again of
dropping names like colgate instead of toothpaste
or cutex instead of nail
polish.
Like I said, the "Flips" will always be Flips.

On the Impeachment Trial
The current impeachment trial of Estrada is very crucial to
Philippine
democracy. The people will not be satisfied with
a not guilty verdict after
seeing for themselves the
evidences of estrada's excesses. His lack of
moral values
is vry galling to all.
He is not politically sophisticated like his departed
master,
Marcos. However, his blunders have hurt the
economy no end. Just
look at this, when it was rumored, he
was resigning the peso increased in
value and there were
more transactions in the stock market. When he
said he was
not resigning, then the peso plummeted and the players in
the
stock market, started selling their stock, fearing the
worst is yet to
come.
only those who are blind cannot see how estrada's continued
stay in power
is hurting the country.

I really don't believe Rep. Butz Aquino is
actually
pro-erap. I think he was merely trying to make a point and
at the
same time get the world's attention! He certainly
caught the attention of not
just a few through his
statement, but the mere suggestion that "Erap is God's
gift
to the Filipino people" is just too ridiculous coming from
a
presumably intelligent person. Following his line of
thinking, I think
it's comparable to saying the late
dictator was also "God's gift" to us
because his abuse of
power opened our eyes to the value of our freedom as
a
people. Maybe God's message for us through this "gift" is
to go deeper
and not just free ourselves politically, but
even deeper in the level of our
collective moral fiber.
Rep. Aquino however was absolutely correct in stating
that
the current dictator is the embodiment of all the ills of
the
Filipino psyche and therefore exposes a need for every
individual to do a
thorough self-examination and resolve to
make a change for the better by the
year end. Erap, for his
part can also make a personal resolution at his own
leisure
for all I care, but he must IMMEDIATELY step down as
president to
make way for a more worthy and qualified
leader (for which there is no
shortage), and the law should
be allowed to take it's course in prosecuting
the most
notorious president in Filipino history since the late
dictator, and when convicted should be promptly and firmly
sentenced
accordingly. As one contributer from New Zealand
asserted, if convicted, he
must be made an example of and
the punishment for heinous crimes today
remains capital
punishment.

atleast give some balance news. Giving public with
wrong
information will make someone jump to conclusion. I think
you don't
believe in the constitution. Because if you do
so, you will not give wrong
information as you are doing
now. I don't care whether the president will be
convicted
or aquicted it's not my business and in fact it will not
change
the Philippine as a whole. Those people who are
rallying are just riding on
the flow, they are just an
added burden to the economy. I think the
Philippines will
no longer progress even we put the brightest individual,
if
the system will continue on and on. The only way to our
country
to progress is that we must focus or concentrate on
what resources we have
like Agriculture etc. and not on
Politics. See here in Saudi Arabia they have
oil resource
so they utilize it to the fullest. So, like them we have
to
utilize our resources as I have mentioned earlier. So,

I am again reminded of the time of the murder of
Ninoy,
when the whole nation already knew who perpetuated the
killing
except the powers that be at that time. Only the
stupid (or those that are

How Corrupt Can Erap Be
This is from a reliable source. A couple of years ago, the
seat of the
Overall Deputy Ombudsman was vacated. There
were three (3) candidates for the
said slot. The first (1)
candidate is a very prudent man. The second (2) man
not too
well know, and thus inconsequential, and the third (3) was
the
most corrupt.
Erap asked the first candidate if his papers are O.K. The
first candidate
was elated since he will be receiving the
post that he earned, through hard
work. Well, the day of
signing of said appointment came right after Eraps
trip
from the US. Lo and behold, the Ombudsman himself, although
he was
the guest speaker at the Development Academy in
Tagaytay, cut short his
stint·and went directly to
Malacanang.
While he was there·he waited until Erap signs the
appointment of not the
first (1) candidate, but the third
(3) candidate. The Ombudsman himself
lobbied for this
persons appointment simply because the third (3) person
is
his protˇgˇ. The first (1) candidate upon hearing about the
development
went to Malacanang, and ErapS explanation "
well, next time na lang·bata ni
Ombudsman yon eh "
The first (1) candidate reminded Erap that among the three
(3) the third
one is the most corrupt. Erap, as the story
goes said·"well, bahala daw si
Ombudsman sa akin" How
corrupt can one be???

I think the president don't deserve
this!!!!!!
We
are not part of the develop world.
Our country is still developing and
what we last need is a lot of scandals
and pointing fingers. Making
oneself
rightious by pointing fingers towards
the other.
I think that the Pilipinos should change
the way that they
think.
Always pulling on each others legs,
trying to bring everybody
down.
How can we progress if we think like
town people.
I think it is
time for us to change and
start thinking about cooperation and
helping
each other.
The media could make the starting move. Instead of
printing
scandals, and non-
important things.
Another important thing
that is really
hampering our progress is the CHURCH!!!
We are not slaves
of the Catholic
CHURCH. Church were meant to help
people; not to
make decision for the
people. I think the Church is getting
too
far. Making people look like
zombies, agreeing to whatever it
says.
The government is also affected by this,
since the church controls the
people by
the throat, then the government
officials are too afraid to
make a move
against the church.
I thought there is(was) a boundary
between the Church and the State?!?
I can see that the life of the Pilipino
people are too Church centered,
and thus
narrowminded.

The trial shows that the Filipinos will not
tolerate
corruption especially from one who holds the highest
position
in the country. If Mr. Estrada thinks that he and his

If, at all, he gets away with this

We have a popular motto popularized by our own former
sbma chairman and mayor Dick Gordon which says, "What
this country
needs is not just a change of man but a
change in men". Well, in the
case of our president, I
think,
he's been trying his best to reform but I
believe that no
amount of external efforts done by the president himself
or
his advisers would ever change the man. Real change can
only
happen if there is a real transformation in ones life
and not just a mere
reformation. Real change must start
from the inside to outside
and not from the outside to the
inside. Man is totally depraved
spiritually speaking, and
change can only happen if his spiritual need
has been
satisfied by the working power of the Holy Spirit of God
in
his life. Going back to the motto, I think that if the
man
has
no desire to change or at least the willingness to
change
then let us change the man.

Hearing the testimony of Emma Lim gave me
jitters. Why?
because i can't imagine the amount of money
these
people(i.e. Singson's office) are supposedly transacting.
If these
money really exists in their hands, and Singson
being a very very close
friend of the President, it's
impossible that he, Estrada, doesn't know
of all, or at
least part of, these money. By this alone, If i were
a
juror, i would vote for a conviction of the President for
the simple
reason that he has firmly admitted his very
close association to this kind of
person. Who knows what
he gave this man or who knows what they gave
each other
during all these times aside from what they are telling
us
right now. I feel that the President is just reacting to
what is being
thrown at him and so far is not showing
anything that would make the
Presidency look "clean" except
make generalized statements that these are
false and destroy
the credibility of everybody pointing an accusing
finger
towards him . He keeps telling that this man is a liar,
a
gambler, and whatever but he doesn't seem to realize that
they have been
close friends for the longest time. I feel
that as a President, it is
imperative that you never
associate this kinds of persons as your peers to
your
office. I feel that if Singson did not speak out, we
would
never confirm about the "unofficial" dealings of our
President and
who knows what else they would have done
without our knowledge. I feel that
after this, i don't
trust the President anymore, that whatever he says, i
will
take it as something to cover up another thing. By this
alone, if i
was a juror, i would vote to convict so we take
him out of office because he betrayed his oath as a
President.
And that's just the testimony of Singson...what about those
of Yasay,
Dante Tan, Atong Ang, Bong Pineda.....
The President is right, he was voted by a majority of
voters, but that was
during the time that we were not
consciously aware of all his shadowy
friends, properties,
other families, money, corporations. And now, we
have the
opportunity to take that mandate away because he betrayed
the
highest office of our country. That this office should
be treated with
respect, trust, and competence.

we have been following up the daily impeachement
proceedings. It is very
clear that the senator judges are
obviously taking sides. Enrile among the
senator judges
lawyers is the only one who is very pro erap. the rest
of
the other senator judge lawyers, either shows anti erap
tendencies or
try to express impartiality. But, all these
manifestations, as I sensed
it,was all started by enrile
himself when at the very onset, he already
showed his true
color, when he argued for the defense and continued to
do
so.Definitely, the other lawyer senator judge will try to
detoxify him.
Judges should really maintain impartiality.
Most of the senator judges'
argumentation that transpired
were presented in the guise of clarification.
We wre
definitely dumb audience. we can read through the lines. If
only enrile would refrain from showing his prejudices and
biases, thus the
rest of the other senators would then hold
theirs too, then we can have a
genuine impeachment
proceeding. But then I guess, on the second thought,
this
is too late for now. They all have adopted and manifested
their
stand. We, the people are the better judge.

The defense line that the testimony of Ms. Emma
Lim is
suspect since she is an employee of Gov. Chavit Singson
does not
wash. It is very doubtful that a secretary or
anyone for that matter, will
agree to lie under oath to
implicate the President in jueteng operations just
because
he is ordered to do so by his boss. Going against the
President in
any mode is fraught with risk since the
President has almost limitless
resources to get back at
you. More so with this President who has proven to
be a
vindictive person. This is shown in his first official
act
(Administrative Order No. 1) of deposing Dick Gordon as
chair of the SBMA. This is also a President who was more or
less
instrumental in the closing down of an offending
broadsheet. Clearly, an
ordinary citizen with ordinary
means will not go against this President, much
less lie
under oath to do so. In fact, you can further argue that
an
ordinary person would not go against this President even if
it means
telling the truth.
