POWER TIPS

Adding items to
'Send To'
By Jerry Liao

THE "SEND TO" function that comes with Windows 95 and 98 is a great way to send files to disk drives, printers, e-mail programs and other applications.

You can activate "Send To" by clicking your right mouse button, selecting the "Send To" command and viewing the list of available destinations.

But how do you add items to the "Send To" command so that it will be available the next time you activate it? Here's how:

1) Open Windows Explorer

2) Select the peripheral (printers, disk or zip drives or other destination) or application you want to add to the "Send To" command

3) Drag the icon to the "Send To" folder located at c:\windows\SendTo folder

The next time you activate the "Send To" command, the item you added will be available.
