If my grandma

were a shape,

she would be

a circle because

she likes to

go round and

round.

If my grandma

were a weather condition,

she would be cloudy

because she moves

very slowly.

If my grandma

were a question,

she would ask,

"What do you

want to do now?"

because she

never runs out of

ideas.

If my grandma

were a punctuation mark,

she would be an exclamation point

because she is easily surprised.

If my grandma

were a spice,

she would be

red pepper because

she lives

where it is hot.

If my grandma

were a dessert,

she would be

a cake because

cake is sweet

If my grandma

were a place,

she would be

outer space because

she is very

open-minded.

Eddie, 10, is in the fourth grade at the Sheridan School in Washington D.C. His poems were submitted to the Junior Inquirer by his cloudy-red-hot, spaced-out grandma, Sylvia M. Ventura.
Dindo is a member of Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan.
