Moneysaving Tips

DEAR Editor,

We always have to save money here in the Philippines. It seems we're always in some crisis or the other. Kids like me can also help solve the country's problems by saving money. It's not that hard. Here are some tips:

1. When your father or mother gives your allowance for school, divide it by two. Use half of it. Save the other half.

3. When you are going to buy something, go to other stores and compare their prices. Pick the cheaper one.

4. If you want to buy clothes and shoes, ask your older brothers or sisters if they can give you their old stuff instead. Pass your old stuff on to your younger siblings too.

Money is hard to get. It's a good idea to start saving when you are still young.--PAOLA JANNICKE B. BALUGAY, Grade 6, St. Benedict College
