Filipino Websites

DEAR Editor,

Please feature more sites created by Filipinos in your "Netsurfing with Nethead" column. I, myself, have put up a site called Jasin14 Online (www.jasin14.8m.com) which features music. It doesn't contain Filipino music though but it contains international artists people love to see on MTV.--JASPER JUGAN, 13, San Juan, Metro Manila

Dear Jasper,

There are thousands upon thousands of websites in the internet. We'd love to feature sites created by Filipinos but these sites created by filipinos have to be really good and useful to the public.--Editor

Winners, too

Dear Editor,

Thank you for featuring Jo Christine Rambaud and Caroline Pan who both placed first in their respective age groups in Time Magazine's "Most Important Person of the Century" Essay Writing Contest. (JI, 9/4/99)

However, I think due recognition should also be given to second-placer Allen Faith Aquino (Cembo Elementary School) and third-placer Karina Michaela Tacujan (St. Bridget School). Regardless of how they placed, the fact that four out of 12 winners in an Asia-wide contest came from the Philippines should give us Filipinos a boost of pride. Congratulations to the winners and more power to the Junior Inquirer!--KAREN NG-ONG, San Juan, Metro Manila
