YAH, yah. I confess. My essay's title isn't exactly correct. My shobe (younger sister in Fookien) has actually gone past this stage. But I do miss the times when we had this Dexter (me)-Dee Dee (her) relationship.

Let me explain: though my sister is a brat, she is the most sensitive, compassionate, helpful, understanding, giving, caring and loving brat I know. Apparently, the little sister package also comes with the built-in gullible feature (a plus to all elder siblings, but wears off as sister grows older), the I'm-so-cute-therefor-I'm-automatically-innocent look (maybe a minus when parents start asking who broke the vase in the living room) and the inevitable I-am-destined-to-annoy feature. This feature can be the most complicated and inexplicable of all. Ever seen any of those toys that automatically go "Destroy! Destroy! Destroy!"? Well, little sisters are like toys that go "Annoy! Annoy! Annoy!"

My shobe and I do not fight much now. But I remember when I was 5 years old, I came home from preschool only to find that she had colored all my coloring books. And with the wrong colors pa! I remember very well that our yayas probably took cover because we started hurling stuff at each other. When I asked her why she colored the books, she said she wanted me to be happy because both of us can color the same book. Well, I forgot what else she said but it all revolved around being just like her achi and coloring all her achi's favorite pictures for her.

You're all probably going "Awwww, how sweet!" but I repeat, at 5 I did not see it that way at all. I was hurt! Devastated that my very own sister could color my favorite bunny picture in brown when I wanted a white bunny. Oh well, I guess I am just too dramatic sometimes.

She was also very gullible at 3 years old. One day, I told her that I had hidden a whole case of lollipops in our closet. Can you all guess where she went? Yup! The closet! He-he-he.

Yahhhh, I really do miss those days when she would wear whatever I would be wearing even if it would be two sizes bigger than her normal size. Nowadays, she still does that, sometimes. Hey, guess who influenced her to read Harry Potter? He-he-he.

Hmmm, maybe my sister is my biggest fan. She's always been there for me and even if I make a mistake, it's all right with her. The least I can do is be thankful that she's there, and also to be thankful for all younger sisters around the globe. And if you don't have a younger sister right now . . . ask your parents for one!!! He-he-he. Just kidding. Nobody kill me please!
