Theodore Aquino willing to give votes to cousin

Erwin OlivaManila, Philippines -- Independent senatorial candidate Theodore Aquino said he was willing to give his votes to his cousin, Tarlac Congressman Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III, but stressed that he would not pull out of the race.
“I've always maintained that stand,” Aquino told INQUIRER.net in a telephone interview.
Aquino III, who is running under the Genuine Opposition (GO), is the son of the late senator Benigno Aquino Jr. and former president Corazon Aquino.
Theodore Aquino said he had not officially declared this position to the Comelec.
Aquino III had filed a petition to disqualify Theodore Aquino who was found to be holding a dual citizenship -- as a Filipino and an American.
Under Comelec rules, votes for Aquino III might be declared “spoiled” since the two candidates had the same surname.
Meanwhile, Theodore Aquino said he was scheduled to visit the provinces of Iloilo and Davao. He said he finished campaigning in Pampanga province.
