Manila Hostage Drama

I was appalled at and disgusted with the way the hostage-taking of children by Armando “Jun” Ducat was resolved and the way the victims’ parents have responded to the case.

I take it that what happened was just to get the attention of the media and put the spotlight on the obvious deterioration of the state of the nation. But putting the children at risk -- as hostages, no less -- was an insane thing to do.

The end never justifies the means, especially if the latter endangers the lives of children. I expect more from the parents of the children.
