Why not a Catholic Church rally for typhoon victims?

I WAS reading the news on the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) organizing a rally to protest Charter change. I am just wondering why they cannot also have a meeting to pray for the victims of typhoons.

The Catholic Church is slowly being politicized, deviating from teaching doctrines of Christ.

I believe that instead of praying against Charter change, the churh should pray for the victims of typhoons, which have left many dead.

I hope the Catholic Church should depart from politics and organize help for the poor. It could use its influence to gather help and mobilize resources for the typhoon victims.

We ordinary people do not mind politics in our day-to-day lives. We keep ourselves moving without the help of government.
