FREE PAROL-MAKING WORKSHOPS

San Francisco, CA - The annual Parol Lantern Festival and Parade was started by the Filipino American Development Foundation (FADF) in 2003 under MC Canlas. It has become a must-see event during the holiday season.

It begins with a three-month-long series of parol-making workshops in October which are displayed during the anticipated parade as well as the program proper at the Yerba Buena Gardens. The workshops are held at the Bayanihan Community Center (1010 Mission Street, corner 6th and Mission Street). Public Transit: BART Civic Center or Powell Station, MUNI #14.
