35 more ‘Frank’ victims identified by DNA test

THE Disaster Victim Identification – Information Management Center in Camp Sergio Osmeña Sr., Cebu City, has released the list of newly identified victims of Typhoon Frank.

At least 35 victims were identified through the DNA test conducted by the International Police (Interpol) and the National Bureau of Investigation-Disaster Victim Identification (NBI-DVI).

They are (in alphabetical order): Gino Carlo R. Aventurado, 29, of barangay Poblacion, Badian, Cebu; Alejandrino B. Ayade, 62, of barangay Kawayanan, Mabini, Bohol; Enrico D. Bartido, 52, of Jones Avenue, Cebu City; Russel L. Bucag, 23, of San Roque, Liloan, Cebu; Adelaida C. Cantillas, 53, of J. Aranas Extension, Cebu City; Samuel M. Corsiga, 44, of barangay Putohan, Tubigon, Bohol; Ramil F. Escaran, 34, of Daan Bantayan, Cebu; Reynaldo P. de Jesus Jr., 35, of Milagros, Masbate; Rosalia S. Gipgano, 48, of Daan Bantayan, Cebu; Jay Franco C. Labiaga, 32, of Gun-ob, Lapu Lapu City, Cebu; Felixberto G. Lagura, 42, of Inabanga, Bohol; Juneven S. The Interpol's Incident Response Team (IRT), which includes DVI experts, a representative from the International Commission on Missing Persons and the Philippine authorities, has already identified a total of 70 victims in a span of three weeks. The families of other victims who are yet to be identified are urged to give DNA samples to the DVI-IRT forensic team or call 4165025 or 2538730 from Monday to Friday during office hours for the DNA testing process.
