DNA tags 16 more 'Frank' victims
THE Disaster Victim Identification (DVI) – Information Management Center in Camp Sergio Osmeña Sr., Cebu City announced the identification of 16 more victims of typhoon Frank.
The victims were identified through the DNA-testing conducted by the joint teams from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and International Police (Interpol).
The total number of DNA-assisted identifications has now reached to 225.
The Interpol's Incident Response Team (IRT) that includes a representative from the International Commission on Missing Persons (ICMP) and the NBI urged the families of typhoon Frank victims to give DNA samples to the DVI-IRT forensic team or call 2560491-93 local 26 during office hours from Monday to Friday for more information on the DNA testing process.
