MANILA, Philippines —The Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) on Friday welcomed the transfer of the two remaining high profile drug suspects to city jails.

“We are pleased with the way things are progressing with the Alabang Boys’ case. The final outcome is now out of our hands and for the courts to decide. We are looking forward to a speedy trial and resolution of this case,” Director General Dionisio Santiago said in a statement.

Richard Brodett and Jorge Joseph were transferred to Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City Friday afternoon following Brodett's arraignment on Thursday.

Santiago said PDEA agents facilitated the transfer of Brodett and Joseph immediately after receiving the commitment order signed by Judge Juanita T. Guerrero of Muntinlupa City Regional Trial Court Branch 204.

Another suspect, Joseph Tecson, was earlier turned over to a Quezon City jail.

The so-called Alabang Boys composed of Brodett, Joseph and Tecson stayed in PDEA's detention cell for more than seven months after being arrested on September 20, 2008 for allegedly selling ecstasy and cocaine.

Santiago said the arraignment of Joseph and the pre-trial of Brodett is scheduled on May 14.

Meanwhile, the schedule of Tecson's pre-trial is set on May 18.
