No water for 15 hours in south Metro on Oct. 27
MANILA, Philippines—Water concessionaire Maynilad Water Services Inc. advised residents in the cities of Pasay, Parañaque, Las Piñas and Cavite province to conserve water because of a 15-hour water service interruption.
The disruption of water services will begin at 11 p.m. on Oct. 27 and will last until 2 p.m. the following day.
Maynilad said it would be upgrading its pipe network in the South as part of its continuous efforts to improve water services in the west zone.
The water concessionaire will be replacing the 400-millimeter gate valve with a new 400-mm butterfly valve along Airport Road corner Roxas Blvd., Parañaque City; and the 500-mm gate valve with a new 500-mm butterfly valve along Quirino Avenue corner MIA Road.
The upgrading will affect portions of Pasay, particularly Barangays Sun Valley, Pildera 1 & 2, Maricaban, Vitalez, Rivera Village, Domestic, Electrical, Baltao, Sto. Niño; and also the commercial district of Pasay City along Roxas Blvd. and Macapagal Avenue, including Mall of Asia.
Portions of Parañaque afftected include Barangay Baclaran and Tambo, Bayview Village, Sunset Village, Goodwill Subdivision, Puyat Compound, Sitio Maligaya, Marina Bay Town, Marina Bay Homes, Amvil, and Concord Village;
Barangays La Huerta, Sto. Niño, Don Galo and San Dionisio; SM Sucat, Salazar Compound, Wakas Compound, Lim Compound, Jaeville Subdivision, Gatchalian 1 & 2, Multinational Village, Rodriguez Compound, Aurerina Compound, R. Medina Compound, Villanueva Subdivision, Clarmen Village, Salvador State, Bernabe Subdivision, Villa Lourdes, Dela Cruz Compound;
Portions of Brgy. San Isidro; portions of Brgy. BF from El Grande Ave. to Aguirre Ave. and along Aguirre Ave. to Magbanua St.; as well as commercial establishments along Dr. A. Santos from Kabihasnan to Lopez Avenue;
Parts of Lopez Village, Fortunata Village, Garden City Subdivision, and Silverio Compound; San Antonio Valley 1, 7, 8, 12, 13 and 16; Green Heights Subdivision, Camilla Subdivision, and United Parañaque Subdivision 5. The whole of Las Piñas and Cavite will also experience water service disruption, Maynilad added.
