NCAA Season 86
UAAP Season 73
UAAP is an internal tally by INQUIRER.net on the number of times a public personality is mentioned in the stories that are posted on the news website
1
Far Eastern University Tamaraws
The only unbeaten team in the league thus far, this team has so far lived up to expectations after hurling their toughest challenge yet, thwarting the defending champions Ateneo in their first game.
2
Ateneo De Manila University Blue Eagles
After an opening game loss and two shaky victories over Adamson and UST, it only attests that the back-to-back champions are not invincible after all.
3
Adamson University Soaring Falcons
From No. 4
One of the better defensive teams in the league, this squad could have been sporting an undefeated mark if it wasn’t for bad calls down the stretch on its opening game against the Eagles.
4
National University Bulldogs
From No. 7
Not the same old Bulldogs we’re accustomed to, as shown on how they were able to hang around against Adamson and how they easily handled a gritty La Salle team. A potential dark horse.
5
De La Salle University Green Archers
From No. 6
This rookie-laden squad has shown tremendous intensity as of late, did poorly in the pre-season but immediately silenced its pundits come UAAP with convincing wins over UE and UP.
6
University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers
From No. 8
After a mysterious pre-season for the Tigers, this UAAP season is nothing but surprising after disposing UE and how they almost pulled off the upset against Ateneo. Definitely the sleeper so far.
7
University of the East Red Warriors
From No. 5
Reeling from the loss of its main men, the league has witnessed a sharp decline on the performance of last year’s finalist, who remain winless after two stints.
8
University of the Philippines Fighting Maroons
From No. 3
Different year, same old Maroons. Despite the addition of rookie Fil-Am Mike Silungan, UP has not lived up to its hype. Thrashed by La Salle before faltering in the end game against Adamson.
Rank Your Own
If you have a better idea on which team shoud be on top
We tried our best to rank the teams reasonably, but if you believe you have a better understanding of college hoops whether because of your affinity to the school or simply out of whim, do not hesitate to rank your own.
