MAISON Francis Kurkdjian’s elixir allows women to wear the fragrance house’s signature scents whenever and wherever they want.
Francis Kurkdjian’s desire to tell beautiful stories and his curiosity about people and raw materials allow him to “go beyond the simple fact of creating fragrances,” says Marc Chaya, CEO of Maison Francis Kurkdjian.
With numerous accolades under his belt, such as the Prix François Coty award (the equivalent of the Oscar among perfumers) and the title of Chevalier des Artes et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture, the man behind many famous fragrances continues to explore fresh paths in the pure tradition of the finest French perfumery.
Elixirs
Maison Francis Kurkdjian offers luxury in a bottle, from its unique scents to its gilded boxes.
Apart from bespoke perfumes, the House’s unique offerings include fragrance bracelets, perfumed laundry washing liquid and fabric softeners, incense papers, perfumed candles, and most recently, elixirs.
The delicate vessels called “elixirs” enable women to use the scent wherever they want and whenever they choose.
With the help of a tiny roll-on, the elixir allows the perfume extract to melt with the warmth of the skin for a powerful fragrance diffusion.
The elixirs feature the House’s signature scents: Lumière Noire pour femme (Light and Black), which combines rose from Bulgaria, patchouli from Indonesia and the flower of Narcissus to obtain a striking contrast; APOM pour femme (A Part of Me), which fuses orange blossom from Tunisia, cedar wood from Texas and Ylang-Ylang from Madagascar for a more oriental scent; and Aqua Universalis forte, which has the Eau de Parfum formulation, but its texture has been adapted to develop the extract.
Aqua Universalis
Green bergamot from Calabria, white flowers boosted by Egyptian jasmine, Moroccan rose, and light and musky wood come together to create “the perfect idea of freshness and sensuality,” says Chaya of the Aqua Universalis forte scent.
The Eau de Toilette Aqua Universalis, on the other hand, offers a delicate waft of fragrance for one’s skin, for the home and for linen as it comes in various forms, such as a fragrance bracelet, a perfumed candle, incense paper, among others.
Maison Francis Kurkdjian is not only a house of fragrance, but also a house of creation that’s “all about breaking the rules and allowing people to escape from their day-to-day lives,” says Chaya.
