Exhibit shows Filipino-American post-punk art

MANILA, Philippines—An art exhibit, dubbed Asimilasyon Radikal, by Filipino-American and local artists focuses on the anti-commercialism and nihilistic views of the post-punk years, according to curator Lian Ladia. Among those featured are artists Carlo Ricafort and Alfredo Esquillo who talk about their inspirations. Edward Cabagnot, Cultural Center of the Philippines Media Arts, says the exhibit will be at the Cultural Center of the Philippines until February 22, 2009.
