MANILA, Philippines — The Trillion Peso March against corruption takes place today at the People Power Monument in Quezon City, with 86 dioceses nationwide supporting the movement.
Protests, triggered by revelations in congressional hearings about widespread corruption involving private contractors and government officials in the implementation of flood control projects, will also be held in various places outside of Metro Manila.
Also today, another protest, calling for President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to resign, will be held by other groups at the EDSA-Ortigas Avenue area.
