Moonstar88’s ‘This Year’ wins best album design cover

For their latest album titled “This Year,” Moonstar88 wins the Best Design Packaging Category in the ADOBO Design Awards 2013 held on April 26 this year at the Ayala Museum, Makati City.  The album cover is a special pop-up packaging designed by JP Cuison of Gigzilla.

Adobo Magazine, the Philippines’ premiere advertising and brand communications publication, has been holding this awarding ceremony for four years in a row to celebrate the Filipino talent in design, graphic design, illustration, animation and the like.

In a statement, Soupstar Entertainment, the management firm behind Moonstar88, said the band’s fans have more reason to buy the album “This Year” now, not next year.

Moonstar 88 is composed of vocalist/guitarist Maychelle Baay, drummer Bon Sundiang, lead guitarist Herbert Hernandez and bassist Paolo Bernaldo.

Sundiang is marketing and business development manager of Megamobile Inc.
