Pro-Marcos police chief shot dead

BACOLOD CITY, February 25 — The station commander of this city’s police force and his driver were gunned down by six men in a Toyota Land Cruiser which overtook and bumped their car at a street intersection here this afternoon.

Col. Gilfredo Geomingo was fatally wounded and his driver, Pat. Leopoldo Tayupon, was killed instantly when the six men jumping out the Land Cruiser, pumped them full of bullets from M-14 and M-16 rifles.
