MANILA, Philippines — A motorcycle vlogger who does “charity vlog” is seeking a seat in the House of Representatives.

Norris John Okamoto, who is behind the Norris John Vlog on YouTube with over 315,000 subscribers, filed the certificate of nomination and acceptance (CONA) of Lingap party-list on Tuesday.

He is the first nominee of the party that seeks to represent the poor and other marginalized groups.

“I will be their voice, and I will never give up,” Okamoto said at the Manila Hotel tent, the venue of the CONA filing.

His content revolves around charity vlogs, which refer to videos that show acts of charity like giving of alms, but he also does prank videos and motorcycle-related content.

“When I started, all of my content was really about helping [people], but I will not stop, and I will continue my advocacy through social media,” he said.
