Nancy is poised to run against her sister’s husband, Makati Rep. Luis Campos.
“This is it. I’ve filed. I’m running for mayor,” Nancy said when asked about Abby’s wish she would not pursue her mayoral bid.
“But for me, at the end of the day, ate pa rin nya ako, di ba? Magkapatid pa rin kaming dalawa,” the senator added.

“Wala e parang walang puwang para makapag-usap kami so malungkot,” she added.

Despite this, Nancy stressed that their family bond will always prevail, noting that she is not running against her sister in the 2025 elections.
“Hindi ko kalaban ang kapatid ko. Walang Abby Binay sa balota, so hindi kami magkaaway,” she pointed out.

She also assured Abby of her support as the latter runs for the first time as senator. Nancy thinks her sister is “very qualified” for the post.
Nancy has promised that if she gets elected mayor of Makati, she will continue the programs of providing basic services to their constituents, which were started by her father, former Vice President Jejomar “Jojo” Binay.
Aside from Abby, Nancy’s brother Jun-Jun Binay and their parents Jojo and Elenita all served as mayor of Makati.
