Abby Binay formalizes candidancy for senator in 2025 polls

MANILA, Philippines — Makati Mayor Abigail “Abby” Binay made her bid to the Senate official, filing her certificate of candidacy (COC) at Manila Hotel Tent City on Friday.

Binay is serving her last term as Makati’s chief executive and decided to run for senator in the next elections. Her sister, Nancy Binay, currently a senator, will be running for mayor of Makati in the 2025 polls against Abby’s husband, incumbent Makati congressman Luis Campos.

Abby Binay is included in the Marcos administration’s senatorial slate for the 2025 midterm elections.
