Comelec releases list of party-list groups’ nominees for 2025 polls

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has released the list of nominees of 156 certified party-list groups for the 2025 elections.

Comelec Spokesperson Atty. John Rex Laudiangco said on Thursday that the list of nominees was published on the Comelec website on Wednesday.

Below is the list of the nominees vying for a House seat in the 2025 elections:

Meanwhile, Comelec Chairman George Erwin Garcia said on Tuesday that a registered voter can file a petition to cancel a certificate of nomination and acceptance (CONA) as an exercise of power and right to question a candidacy. The poll body chief said that Comelec does not have the power to cancel a CONA alone.

Garcia previously said that CONAs and the certificates of candidacy (COCs) will be uploaded to Comelec’s website for the first time.

He said that this was done to prevent another case of dismissed Bamban Mayor Alice Guo, who sought and won a mayoral seat despite allegedly having fake information in her COC.

Last Friday, an electronic raffle was held to arrange the numerical order of the 156 party-lists on the election ballot. Garcia noted that only 42 newly accredited party-lists were included in this count, the smallest number recorded to date.
