MANILA, Philippines — For the first time, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) will establish over a hundred repair hubs nationwide to streamline the election process.
On Wednesday, Comelec chairman George Erwin Garcia said these 110 repair hubs will be set up nationwide.
“We did this for the first time,” Garcia said in a press conference after the Comelec’s regular en banc session, noting that in the past, the only repair hubs were at the Comelec’s regional offices and their main warehouse in Biñan, Laguna.
“If the machines and SD cards have issues or problems, we could now bring them immediately,” he said.

These additional repair hubs are included in Comelec’s contract with election service provider Miru Systems Co. Ltd., which will also provide the equipment and technicians.
