LIST: Comelec voter education, ACM demo roadshow kick-off areas

MANILA, Philippines — The Commission on Elections (Comelec) will begin its touring campaign for voter education and automated counting machine (ACM) demonstration next week as part of its May 2025 midterm poll preparations.

The Comelec roadshow will run from December 2, 2024, to January 30, 2025, and shall include the deployment of one ACM per region, city, and municipality nationwide.

For the December 2 kick-off, the Comelec said its voter education and ACM demonstration will be held in the following areas:

The constitutional body received on Wednesday the last batch of ACMs from Miru Systems, the South Korea-based automated elections system provider that secured the contract for the Philippines’ midterm polls next year. A total of 112,620 ACMs will be used for the May 2025 elections.

The last batch of 9,860 ACMs were delivered to the Comelec warehouse in Biñan, Laguna.
