MANILA, Philippines — More than nine million ballots were printed for the 2025 midterm elections in May, according to the Commission on Elections (Comelec).
Comelec Chairperson George Erwin Garcia said that as of Sunday evening, a total of 9,460,780 ballots were printed at the National Printing Office.
This accounts for 13.12 percent of the 72,107,420 ballots required for the polls.
Garcia said 62,646,420 ballots must still be printed to meet the total target.

Garcia previously said that the Comelec aimed to complete the printing of ballots by April 14.
“Our original timeline is April 14, and we should still be finished by April 14. In case we have to make an adjustment, we will think about it later. But in the meantime, we must and at all costs, finish printing by April 14,” he said on January 28.
On February 1, Comelec recorded its highest single-day ballot production for the 2025 elections, printing over 1.8 million ballots.
