Tulfo bros cop 1st, 2nd spots in new Octa survey for Senate Magic 12

MANILA, Philippines — Tulfo brothers occupied the first and second spot of the “Magic 12” which also saw the names of all administration senatorial bets based on the latest noncommissioned survey of Octa Research.
“[ACT CIS Rep.] Erwin Tulfo and Ben Tulfo stand out with a significant lead,” the Octa research said in its Tugon ng Masa (TNM) Pre-Election Survey report furnished to the media on Tuesday.
Octa said Erwin got 70 percent of voter preference while Ben got 60 percent.
Pulse Asia’s senatorial survey also saw Erwin Tulfo topping the senatorial preference, while Ben Tulfo ranked fourth.

The Tulfo brothers are among the 16 personalities which Octa found to have a “statistical chance of winning.”
“Most of them are either current or former members of the Senate. Among those with a statistical chance of winning, seven are incumbent Senators , three are former Senators and one mayor,” Octa noted.
Here are the full list of Octa’s ranking based on voter preference percentage:
1: Tulfo, Erwin (70 percent)
2-3: Tulfo, Ben Bitag (60 percent)
2-4: Go, Bong Go (58 percent)
3-8: Sotto, Tito (52 percent)
4-11: Bong Revilla, Ramon, Jr. (49 percent)
4-11: Revillame, Willie Wil (48 percent)
4-11: Lacson, Ping (48 percent)
4-11: Cayetano, Pia (46 percent)
5-12: Pacquiao, Manny Pacman (45 percent)
5-13: Marcos, Imee (44 percent)
5-14: Lapid, Lito (43 percent)
9-16: Abalos, Benhur (39 percent)
10-16: Tolentino, Francis Tol (38 percent)
11-16: Binay, Abby (37 percent)
12-16: Villar, Camille (36 percent)
12-16: De La Rosa, Bato (36 percent)
It is also notable that all members of the administration’s slate under the Alyansa ng Bagong Pilipinas made the Octa’s “Magic 12.”
Members of the administration slate are senators Revilla, Cayetano, Lapid and Tolentino; former senators Sotto, Lacson, and Pacquiao; House representatives Tulfo and Villar; former Interior chief Abalos; and outgoing Makati mayor Binay.
Sen. Marcos was initially included in the admin slate but later had her name withdrawn from the list.

Octa conducted the survey from Jan. 25 to 31, interviewing 1,200 respondents face-to-face. It has a margin of error of ±3 percent.
