MANILA, Philippines — Former senator Gringo Honasan paid a visit to former Vice President Leni Robredo at the Angat Buhay Foundation office in Naga City as part of his campaign stops in Bicol.

Honasan sought a Senate comeback in the 2022 elections under the Uniteam slate of Robredo’s then-rival, now-President Ferdinand Marcos Jr.

Honasan is again seeking a Senate comeback, this time under the Reform PH People’s Party and without a slate.

When asked about his exclusion from Marcos’ Alyansa para sa Bagong Pilipinas for the midterm election despite running under Uniteam prior, Honasan said, “I have no regrets in what I do in my life but always lessons learned.”

Robredo and Honasan were also once rivals for the vice presidency in the 2016 race, where the former emerged as the winner.
