1Pacman’s Bobby Pacquiao delights program supporters during visit

The 1Pacman Party-list featured a medley of activities the past week in General Santos (Gensan) City to depict 1Pacman's 2nd nominee Bobby Pacquiao's penchant of achieving "results that matter" especially in the areas of sports and youth development.

MANILA, Philippines – The 1Pacman Party-list featured a medley of activities the past week in General Santos (Gensan) City to depict 1Pacman’s 2nd nominee Bobby Pacquiao’s penchant of achieving “results that matter” especially in the areas of sports and youth development.

Bobby, also a former boxer like his brother Manny Pacquiao, has served as a congressman and now leads the Gensan Liga ng mga Barangay as councilor. He stressed on the vital role that measures to promote sports will play for the country, enabling the gifts of the youth to shine.

“Alam nating lahat na kakaibang tulong ang naibigay ng sports, lalong lalo na ang boxing para maiahon ang pamilya namin sa hirap. At ngayon, naipapakita ng mga Pacquiao kung gaano kahalaga ang maibalik sa bayan ang mga biyayang natamo nito dahil sa sports,” Bobby states.

Bobby was joined by his wife, Mayor Lorelei Geronimo Pacquiao, who is running again as Gensan mayor, and other officials at the Stakeholders Night held at the Mt. Sabrina Panoramic View Resort. The Pacquiaos acknowledged the valuable support provided by supporters in the city in carrying out “Serbisyong Heneral” and packed the event with raffle draws.

Last year, Gensan again bagged the highly coveted “Seal of Good Local Governance” from the Department of Interior and Local Government.

The city also received the following : Plaque of Appreciation for the City Task Force-ELCAC of General Santos City, Plaque of Recognition for Pamahalaang Lungsod ng General Santos as model LGU for its Local Economic Development (LED) program, High Functional (88.50%) CY 2024 Functionality Assessment of the Local Committee on Anti-Trafficking and Violence Against Women and their Children.

The citations also include Plaque of Appreciation for the City Anti-Drug Abuse Council (CADAC) ng General Santos City, Outstanding Lupong Tagapamayapa, and Governance Exemplars for Meaningful Service for Sangguniang Kabataan Award.

Bobby said that he and senatorial candidate and boxing icon Manny also joined the celebration of the Timpuyog Festival at Kiamba in Sarangani Province. The festival carried the theme: “Pagkakaisa ng Lahi, Kultura, Likas na Yaman at Kaunlaran ng Malipayong Kiamba.”

The former congressman also engaged with young leaders who were conducting a feeding program that was initiated in coordination with Youth for Planet Conservation Movement with Mayor Lorelei Pacquiao.

The Pacquiaos paid a visit to officials, friends and supporters in the towns of T’boli and Tantangan, and to leaders in Barangay San Jose, and the first batch of young leaders of the People’s Champ Movement in Barangay Fatima.

” Dako ang kalipay sa tibuok bando sa pamilyang PCM og 1Pacman Partylist sa inyong solidong suporta,” said Bobby in his post.

Pacquiao noted the warm reception they received in their various visits. “Isang mainit na pagtanggap para sa ating 1Pacman Partylist ang ating nakamit at pangakong susuportahan ang ating adhikain para sa sambayanang Pilipino.”
