MANILA, Philippines — Senator Risa Hontiveros, former senators Kiko Pangilinan and Bam Aquino, and human rights lawyer Chel Diokno campaigned house-to-house in Mandaluyong City on Saturday, March 1.

Pangilinan and Aquino are aiming for a Senate comeback in the 2025 midterm polls.

Pangilinan is under the Liberal Party while Aquino is under the Katipunan ng Nagkakaisang Pilipino Party.

Meanwhile, Diokno is seeking a House seat as the Akbayan party-list’s first nominee.

Supporters greeted Hontiveros, Pangilinan, Aquino and Diokno as they arrived from Makati City, alighting from a Pasig River Ferry at its station in Barangay Hulo, Mandaluyong City.

The team handed out flyers and shirts to residents.

Hontiveros on Wednesday said she believes Pangilinan and Aquino have a “fighting chance” in the senatorial race.

A Social Weather Stations (SWS) survey released also Wednesday showed Pangilinan ranking 15th and Aquino ranking 17th, currently outside the so-called “Magic 12.”
