Camille Villar: We need to empower our youth
Senatorial aspirant Camille Villar has intensified her campaign trail with a high-energy motorcade through Caloocan City, one of the most vote-rich areas in Northern Metro Manila.
Joined by Caloocan Rep. Oscar “Oca” Malapitan, Villar was greeted by enthusiastic crowds as they traversed key barangays from City Hall to the iconic Monumento Circle.
The youngest candidate in the May 12, 2025 senatorial race, Villar received a warm reception from local residents and leaders alike.
In a brief dialogue with community officials, she emphasized the vital role of the youth in shaping the country’s future, calling for greater inclusion of young voices in policy-making and governance.
“We need to empower our youth — not just as future leaders, but as active participants in building our nation today,” Villar said.
Villar also highlighted her legislative priorities, which include adapting laws to the rapidly evolving digital economy, strengthening financial literacy, and supporting entrepreneurship, particularly among young Filipinos.
With less than two months before the national elections, Villar is doubling down on efforts in the CAMANAVA area — Caloocan, Malabon, and Navotas — where she has been actively engaging with constituents through market tours and community visits, including a recent stop in Camarin.
Her grassroots approach, coupled with strong local alliances, is seen as a strategic move to consolidate support and build momentum as the campaign enters its final stretch.
