Manny Pacquiao and 1Pacman join the campaign field in Bohol
MANILA, Philippines – The culture and heritage-rich, and naturally-endowed province of Bohol felt a surge of renewed energy with the recent back-to-back visits of Manny Pacquiao and 1Pacman Party-List first nominee Milka Romero.
Campaign crowds who flock at the sorties continue to be unabashedly wowed by the presence of world boxing legend Manny Pacquiao. Selfies, beyond usual, become precious and deemed for posterity by those who get to be up close with Manny, fondly called Pacman in the global sports arena.

Importantly, for the program portion of the assemblies in Tagbilaran City, Milka Romero delivered the coup de grace as she outlined the vital achievements of 1Pacman in the last three terms.
“There is more we will carry out in the years to come once we obtain your blessings,” Romero told the attendees.
Stellar is a fitting word for the achievements that include not just obtaining the increased fund outlay for the successful Pantawid Pampamilya by a whopping P7 billlion for 2025. It also includes the passage of the trailblazing Eddie Garcia Law which protects movie stars and, most specially, the regular workers milling around the sets in filming and producing entertainment shows.
Eddie Garcia Law (EGL) was initiated by Milka’s father 1Pacman Rep. Mikee Romero after his actor-grandfather, who earned the most number of FAMAS awards and who kept himself very fit, died after tripping on wayward wiring while shooting a teleserye scene. EGL is now regarded as a major step toward protecting film and entertainment industry workers and ensuring just compensation for their efforts.
The 1Pacman congressman, with a prolific record of 144 laws authored and supported in his three terms, also obtained free tuition and fees for college students under Republic
Act 10931 targeted for state universities and colleges nationwide.
With the backdrop of the Tagbilaran City sportsfest, the younger Romero who is now taking over the helm of the party list, spoke of the National Academy of Sports. Built with the passage of RA 11214 or the Philippine Sports Training Center Act, the NAS give proper training to talented sports scholars chosen from all over the country.
She said more action in important areas is naturally the consequence of being chosen once again by the voters to represent the marginalized this May.
