‘Bossing’ says Pasig Mayor Vico Sotto is next PH president

MANILA, Philippines — Reelectionist Pasig City Mayor Vico Sotto was introduced by his father, veteran actor Vic “Bossing” Sotto, as the next president of the country.

The elder  Sotto made the pronouncement during a proclamation rally on Friday or during the start of the campaign season for the 2025 local elections.

Vic first joked that his son took after his mother before proclaiming that he is the next President of the Philippines.

“Alam niyo naman po kung kanino nagmana, kanino pa eh di sa nanay. Ito na po ang susunod na presidente ng Pilipinas, Mayor Vico Sotto,” Vic said as he introduced his son during the proclamation rally.

(You all know who he took after, of course,  his mother. This is the next president of the Philippines, Mayor Vico Sotto.)

The proud father also congratulated residents of Pasig for electing someone like Vico and his fellow city officials, who he says made it possible to eradicate government corruption in the city.

“Kayo ang aking binabati, kasi kayo ang nagluklok sa mga magigiting na taong nasa harap ninyo ngayon,” he said.

(I congratulate all of you, because you are the ones who have elevated the brave individuals standing before you today.)

Vico, seeking a third term is running against businesswoman Sarah Discaya.

The 2025 midterm elections will be held on May 12, 2025.
