Roque posts photos of VP Duterte supporting Camille Villar’s Senate run

Vice President Sara Duterte seemingly supports Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar’s bid for the Senate in the 2025 midterm elections, based on a cryptic post by former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.

MANILA, Philippines — Vice President Sara Duterte seemingly supports Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar’s bid for the Senate in the 2025 midterm elections, based on a cryptic post by former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, Roque showed a collage of photos of Duterte with Villar and her father — former Senate President Manny Villar.

“Politics is addition after all!” Roque’s short caption reads.

The younger Villar is one of the administration-backed Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas candidates.

In a message to reporters, Duterte’s office said the Vice President will respond to queries on the matter “after Holy Week.”

INQUIRER.net messaged Rep. Villar’s office for a comment regarding Roque’s viral post but it has yet to reply as of posting time.
