Isko Moreno maintains commanding lead in race for Manila mayor
With less than two weeks remaining until the 2025 elections, Francisco “Isko Moreno” Domagoso has maintained his commanding lead in the race for Manila Mayor, according to the latest OCTA Research survey.
The survey, conducted from April 20 to 23 and released on Tuesday, April 29, showed the former mayor garnering 63% voter preference across the city.
Moreno was far ahead of his opponents, with Mayor Honey Lacuna only registering 18% and Rep. Sam Versoza posting 16%.
While Lacuna gained only 3% from her previous rating of 15%, this is still within the margin of error of +/-3% of the OCTA Research survey.
Also, even if Lacuna and Versoza’s numbers were combined, they would still fall short of Moreno’s strong support.
Moreno led the mayoral race in all six districts of Manila.
In his campaign for a comeback to Manila City Hall, Moreno is vowing to restore cleanliness, discipline, and order in the capital city.
Calls to save the nation’s capital from deterioration, disorder, and crime pushed Moreno to run again as the city’s chief executive, with the former mayor saying he will “make Manila great again.”
