MANILA, Philippines — Makabayan senatorial candidates ACT Teachers party-list Rep. France Castro and Gabriela Women’s Party-list Rep. Arlene Brosas met with former Vice President Leni Robredo in Camarines Sur on Thursday.

The three went to Naga for Makabayan’s Labor Day activity and one of Makabayan’s miting de avance.

Bagong Alyansang Makabayan president Renato Reyes Jr. said the three wished each other “good luck” in the upcoming election on May 12.

“It was a brief meeting and we thank the former VP for her warm welcome of the Makabayan candidates and current congress reps,” he said in a Viber message to reporters.

Last week, Robredo endorsed two senatorial candidates, former Interior Secretary Benhur Abalos and former Sen. Manny Pacquiao—the two bets are running under the current administration’s Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas coalition.

The two confirmed that the former vice president gave her support when they visited them in Naga City, where she is currently running as mayor.
