MANILA, Philippines — Over 23,000 personnel will be deployed by the National Capital Region Police Office (NCRPO) on election day to secure the midterm polls.
This was according to NCRPO Director Maj. Gen. Anthony Aberin in a press conference at Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig City on Tuesday.
“The NCRPO is 100 percent ready. Part of our preparation is to deploy over 23,000 personnel to the entire Metro Manila just to ensure that we will be having a peaceful and successful election,” Aberin said in Filipino.
“As of now, we’ve not received or monitored any threats to security. However, our coordination with other intelligence units is continuous so that we will not have lapses,” he added.
