Pangilinan banks on ‘last-minute voters’ on May 12
MANILA, Philippines — It’s never say die for returning Sen. Francis Pangilinan, who said he was confident that “last-minute voters” will propel him back to the Senate come May 12.
In an interview with reporters in Quezon City, Pangilinan said he remains optimistic that voters will appreciate his track record and experiences. He urged his supporters to remain “focus(ed) … present(ing) our advocacies … until the end.”

“On the ground, we can feel that many of our kababayans (fellowmen) decide last-minute. And I am confident we would feel that.”
The April Pulse Asia senatorial rankings survey showed him sliding further away from the winning circle, and only fellow opposition candidate Bam Aquino making it into the Magic 12. —Krixia Subingsubing
