Pangilinan banks on ‘last-minute voters’ on May 12

Sen. Joel Villanueva expressed support for the Senate comeback bid of Liberal Party candidate and former Sen. Kiko Pangilinan, according to a statement from the latter’s camp on Friday.

MANILA, Philippines — It’s never say die for returning Sen. Francis Pangilinan, who said he was confident that “last-minute voters” will propel him back to the Senate come May 12.

In an interview with reporters in Quezon City, Pangilinan said he remains optimistic that voters will appreciate his track record and experiences. He urged his supporters to remain “focus(ed) … present(ing) our advocacies … until the end.”
