1 dead as truck falls off cliff after election materials delivery
MANILA, Philippines — An individual died after a truck containing election materials for the May 2025 elections fell off a cliff in Cagayan de Oro, the Commission on Elections (Comelec) said on Tuesday.
According to Comelec Chairman George Garcia, the truck was involved in an accident after it delivered ballot boxes and automated counting machines in Bukidnon.

“One truck of our provider fell off a cliff on its way back to Cagayan De Oro after its delivery of election paraphernalia in Bukidnon,” Garcia told reporters in a Viber message.

“It happened in Upper Puerto, CDO. An employee of F2 [Logistics] died [from the accident],” Garcia added.
No other details were made available as of this writing.
F2 Logistics serves as the Comelec’s provider of deployment services for election materials across the country for the upcoming polls.
