It was a significant jump for Angkasangga Partylist from the April 10 to 16 OCTA Survey, where it garnered 1.98 percent and projected to win just one seat.
“We are overwhelmed and deeply grateful for the growing support of our fellow Filipinos,” said Angkasangga Partylist First Nominee George Royeca
“Patunay lang ito na lumalakas na ang adbokasiya sa hanay ng mga manggagawa at motorcycle riders. Tayo ang magsisilbi nilang boses kapag tayo’y nakarating sa Kongreso,” he added.
Among Angkasangga’s advocacies is to integrate motorcycles into the national transport plan as thousands of informal workers, tricycle drivers, vendors, and freelancers depend on it for their livelihood.
Royeca also reiterated Angkasangga’s commitment to championing the rights and welfare of informal workers in Congress and addressing urgent issues like public transportation, job creation, and worker protection.
Angkasangga advocates for key labor reforms, including paid sick leave and government-mandated benefits for informal workers and accident insurance for members of the Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association (TODA).
