Crowd estimate at start of Alyansa’s miting de avance reaches 22,000

MANILA, Philippines — The Alyansa Para sa Bagong Pilipinas said the crowd estimate at its Miting de Avance in Mandaluyong City has breached 20,000 as of 6 p.m. on Friday.
In a text message to reporters, the Alyansa said the number of supporters that filled Nueve de Febrero street in Mandaluyong has reached 22,000 as of 6 p.m. on Friday.
The slate’s final campaign rally began at 6 p.m.
Of the 11-member senatorial slate, only Las Piñas Rep. Camille Villar, was absent.
Present were former Interior and Local Government Secretary Benhur Abalos, Makati City Mayor Abby Binay,
Sen. Ramon Bong Revilla, Sen. Pia Cayetano, former Sen. Panfilo “Ping” Lacson, Sen. Lito Lapid, former Sen. Manny Pacquiao, former Senate President Vicente “Tito” Sotto III, Sen.Francis “Tol” Tolentino, ACT-CIS Rep. and former Social Welfare Secretary Erwin Tulfo.
Presidential sister Sen. Imee Marcos used to be a part of the slate, but she left the Alyansa days after the arrest of her close friend, former president Rodrigo Duterte.
